About me
Quite simply put; I’m a hobbyist photographer.
I have a different day job, which I also love, but photography is my way of relaxing in my spare time. I like experimenting with all kinds of photography genres and styles and I am always willing to try new things. Few things provide me with greater joy than seeing people having fun while their pictures are being taken and even more so when they love the end results. In all my styles of photography, my aim is to capture moments that look natural.

Why the name?
In the year 2003 two significant things happened in our household.
One. My Dad bought me a Fox Terrier puppy whom I promptly named Tiekie.
Two. My Dad bought one of those fancy new digital cameras. The Canon PowerShot A85 with an astonishing 4MP sensor! Unlike with my Dad’s film camera, he announced that we were all allowed unlimited access to this new camera. He had laid down a few rules for use, with the last being that we were not allowed to delete any of the pictures we took. For the first few days me, my brother and our cousins took photos of each other. It didn’t take them too long to get bored and I was left without models. I asked my Dad permission to start taking photos of the family pets. My most cooperative model was of course Tiekie. She loved the attention of me posing her for the perfect shots. I took so many photos of that dog, that we ended up with a folder on our family computer entitled Tiekie. The rest I’ll say is history… Tiekie’s last photo session with me was in 2016.

What I Offer
Just a few side notes.
I do photography in my spare time, thus mainly over weekends or late afternoons. Photography is my means of relaxation and fun.
For multiple reasons I don’t photograph weddings. I might be persuaded on the latter if your wedding is small and informal.
